Transmit Security has named Matt Thompson Chief Executive Officer and launched Agentic Trust, a set of capabilities designed to help financial institutions and merchants detect, classify and control AI agents interacting with digital services.
BOSTON & TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 20, 2026, (TECH INFO SCENE) — Identity security company Transmit Security has appointed Matt Thompson Chief Executive Officer and introduced Agentic Trust, a new offering focused on identifying and governing autonomous AI agents in customer environments.
Thompson previously served as President and Chief Commercial Officer at Socure and was a Co-Founder and President of ID.me. He has also held identity-related roles at Capital One and IDEMIA and served more than a decade in the U.S. Army, including four combat deployments and service as a Special Operations Officer.
Agentic Trust is designed to help organizations distinguish AI agents from human users and traditional automated traffic as more software agents perform tasks such as opening accounts, transferring funds, disputing charges and making purchases.
The system is built around four functions: detecting agent traffic across online channels, classifying the type of agent and its intended activity, investigating agent behavior and applying permissions or restrictions to individual agents.
“AI agents are fundamentally changing how consumers interact with financial institutions and merchants, blurring the boundaries between identity, fraud prevention and cybersecurity. As consumers increasingly rely on AI agents to act on their behalf, businesses face a new challenge: identifying who, or what, is accessing their applications, understanding the risks and controlling what those agents can do. Existing solutions were designed for human interactions and lack the visibility needed for this new reality. Transmit Security is uniquely positioned to address this challenge, combining our leadership in identity orchestration with advanced intelligence and continuous protection across every customer interaction,” said Thompson.
According to Transmit Security, organizations can use Agentic Trust to allow, limit or block an AI agent or require customer approval before certain actions are completed.
“As AI agents act on behalf of people and businesses, enterprises need to understand who they represent, what they are doing, and what they are authorized to do. Matt Thompson’s experience building identity businesses, together with Transmit Security’s background in identity orchestration, positions the company to address that need. Visibility and governance over agent activity will be essential to earning enterprise trust,” said Travis Jarae, Chief Executive Officer of Liminal.
“Now is our chance to capture a market opportunity that is moving at tremendous speed. We have watched Matt’s accomplishments closely over the past decade and saw a timely opportunity for him to lead us through the next phase of exponential growth as enterprises cannot afford to choose between allowing anything and blocking everything,” said Mickey Boodaei, Co-Founder of Transmit Security.
Transmit Security provides customer identity and access management, fraud prevention and identity orchestration technology for banks, insurers, retailers and other businesses.
